This ratio is a tough indication of a firm’s ability to service its present obligations. Generally, the higher the current ratio, the greater the “cushion” between current obligations and a firm’s capacity to pay them. While a stronger ratio exhibits that the numbers for present property exceed those for current liabilities, the composition and quality of present assets are critical factors within the evaluation of a person firm’s liquidity.
